First night of exhibition

Wow what a fabulous day and very tiring too!   Up early with shopping trolley packed up and arrived at college at 8.20 am to start printing off some last bits.   Ran out of print credit so couldn't do colour prints.  Visited Learner Services and they gave me another tenner for the shop so I bought 3 little books for feedback for the exhibition, 2 pens, 10 plastic wallets for written work and the rest on print credit.   I printed off my exhibition cards - not a business card but more of a little momento and then cut them all up as I did 4 per A4 sheet and I did 20 sheets.   I arrived at the Town Hall and there was nothing I could do as the organisation was in its early stages so I went with Rowen to get the table I said she could borrow for her exhibition.   I returned to the Town Hall but still couldn't do anything as I needed help with mine as it was so large and had to go across 2 boards.  I waited patiently as I knew it would get done.   I managed to go home again, change clothes and returned once more to the Town Hall, and Vinnie hung my piece for me.  I then had an innovative thought about how to display my book, my feedback book and my cards using a bulldog clip and a screw !

The fashion show was brilliant - it felt so good to be part of it.  I didn't have anything in the show but I enjoyed supporting my fellow classmates.  Throughout the whole day there has been a lovelly feeling of "togetherness" and we were all supporting and rooting for each other, across all the classes, not just within my own.

It was a strange feeling when I saw people viewing my exhibition pieces - I stood back and just observed.  Some feedback had been left and I will review it tomorrow (Tuesday) when I go and replenish my cards.

I did feel a little sad that I didn't have "anyone specific" attending i.e. close friends or family.  Infact I feel downright resent towards friends ! but I don't towards the family as I didn't invite them.   My mom feels she is to blame in some way for the past, so I felt that by her seeing what i'd created would upset her and she doesn't deserve that because she is in no way to blame.  I have though been communicating with my little sis throughout the day and sent her pictures.

I left about 8 pm as my feet were dropping off, picked up some chips and arrived home about 8.30 pm.  I got a missed call from a friend, and a message from Emma (Tutor) asking if I was still around the Town Hall as there was a presentation....   Then my friend to tell me i'd won an award but he couldn't remember what for!   I was grinning again.

I am going into college tomorrow earlyish to finish off written work and print off to hand in.  I will not leave college until it is handed in.
